Today is International Day of People with Disability!

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is held every year on the 3rd of December. IDPwD aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and provides an opportunity for everyone to help make positive changes to the lives of the 4.4 million Australians with disability.

This year the theme is 'Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fuelling an accessible and equitable world’.

At our venue, we implement this theme through our partnership with Cérge. Cérge is a companion app for visitors with disability, parents, carers & support workers. This app allows individuals to find accessible leisure venues and helps them assure an inclusive experience both before they arrive, and as soon as they set foot within our venue. As an adopter of Cérge, our venue has been able to better connect key community organisations, local government, and people living with a disability to our health and wellbeing, leisure and recreation offerings.
